25 things you won't be surprised to know about me [BY: TONY]

1.My favorite thing to do in the world is also the thing I do the least: go hiking.

2.I criticize liberals often, yet I have liberal friends who I don’t have a problem talking politics with.

3.I was supposed to have a twin, but my brother died in the womb very early in the pregnancy. It’s actually pretty sad. I wonder what my life would have been like had he been born too?

4.I used to get delirious whenever I had a fever and I would do some very, very strange things. One time my brother woke up in the middle of the night and I was standing near his bed staring at him. Another time I got up and walked around in the middle of a room thinking I was in a stadium where the audience was trying to crush me with a giant beach ball. I told my dad that I couldn’t get to sleep because of the audience.

5.My fiancée and several other people in my life have complained that I fidget too much. It’s not my fault that I like to be doing something most of the time.

6.I used to draw and write a comic book called “Ricky Rex” when I was a little guy. I still have all twenty-something issues.

7.I have always wanted to make a video game, but I’m not exactly the computer programming type.

8.I plan on driving my 4Runner until it literally falls apart.

9.When I bake cookies, I would much rather eat the dough and say to hell with cooking it.

10.I really, really, really love dogs. I can’t wait to have a career and a house so I can own several and take them hiking with me. I love labs and Australian shepherds.

11.I’m literally excited to be a father some day. In the last few years, I have grown to absolutely love children. Obviously I will wait until I can support a child, but I hope that will be sooner rather than later. I honestly don’t understand how a person could never want to have kids.

12.I have never cheated on anybody, including my fiancée. To me, this is a no-brainer. But in this society, fidelity is seen as more of a suggestion rather than a rule and a moral imperative. In fact, I only have eyes for my fiancée, and make it a point not to look with longing upon another woman. I have everything I need in her.

13.I love reading all kinds of literature but mainly classical, nonfiction, or adventure. I prefer not to waste my time with reading the works of the “philosophs,” whose only accomplishments were wasting their days at French salons grasping for some kind of rationalization of what life was about.

14.I own two guns and am hoping to buy at least a couple more. The right to bear arms is something we take for granted in this country. It is, and especially in our country, has been a valuable check against tyranny.

15. I am anti-abortion and unapologetically so. I will not change my mind or be subverted from this way of thinking. Ever.

16.I love my family. I believe that I would not be the man I am today if it were not for them. I owe much of the better things about myself to the way I was raised.

17.There are few things I love more than going fishing with my dad and my brother. Second to that would be going fishing with Becky’s family.

18.I love watching and playing most sports but I honestly don’t follow them very well. Not local, not college, not pro. I have favorite teams but could not tell you how well they’re doing. I know, I’m a dork.

19.I study science more than I study the Bible on a day-to-day basis, but the Word is still more profound and full of wisdom than any math or physics book. As a person who is passionate about learning how this earth and this universe works, I still find myself more fascinated by the way God can touch a life. There is truly a force at work greater than any physical or natural force we can observe or dream of. God is more real than gravity, more essential to our lives than the air we breathe.

20.I love the place I live, and am not looking forward to leaving it even if only for a few years. Southern Oregon fits me perfectly.

21.I love beer, but I don’t like partying.

22.I am a virgin, but plan on breaking that streak on March 21st, 2009.

23.I laugh at men who try to bring down Christianity. They can’t quite get out of the muddy, bleak view of Darwinian evolution. With no breakthroughs in experimental evolution since the peppered moths were glued to tree trunks, I would be pretty bitter too. Maybe they should try to pursue areas of science where advancements are actually being made to benefit humanity, such as, any area other than evolutionary biology.

24.I think pornography dulls and corrupts the mind. I am saying this as somebody who has been very into pornography in the past. I have not looked at any form of it in many years now.

25.I absolutely love pizza. It is the best food ever created.

Have I not been blessed with the most amazing man ever?! I cant believe im marrying this guy. I love him more eachday, its insane!
